Weekly Fit U Tip
Yo-Yo Diets
There is nothing worth for you than to lose and regain the same 10 pounds a few times a year. Actually, it is NOT the same 10 pounds. The first time you lose them, you are losing fat and muscle. When you regain the weight, you gain it back as fat only. Next time you lose weight, you again lose fat and muscle, but only regain fat... get the picture? After a while, you not only look much heavier at the same weight because fat looks, well, a lot fatter than muscle, but you also have messed with your hormones and your metabolism. Remember that it takes more calories to maintain a pound of muscle than it does to maintain a pound of fat, so each time you lose muscle, your metabolism slows down a bit more.... SO, don't do it! If you are going to lose weight, do it sensibly so that you actually lose fat, and not the muscle!
And remember to have fun!
