 What is N.E.W.A.Y?  A new dietary and behavioral lifestyle that promotes:

The N.E.W.A.Y. lifstyle change has proven itself since its beginning in September 2007.  The first 20 people who went through the program lost 228 during the 6-weeks program and are still losing weight a year later.  They report more energy, less depression, stronger fingernails and healthier hair, better blood glucose readings for diabetics and an altogether sense of well-being they did not have before.  All have decided to continue the N.E.W.A.Y. lifestyle as it makes them feel so much better and gives them a better outlook on life. 

 

This program works best for those who have weight to lose, but some women who do not have weight issues have gone through it to learn how to live in harmony with their bodies lost a bit of weight initially and then remained at their new weight, but feel better and stronger, and have decided to stay with the lifestyle change as well. 

 

The N.E.W.A.Y. lifestyle focuses on healthy nutrition that brings about balanced body chemistry and therefore a sense of wellbeing. It also emphasizes the need for exercise and gives strategies to deal with stress and the roadblocks we face on our journey to health. 

 

These women were part of the charter group and are willing to answer any question you might have that you may not feel comfortable asking me: What you can expect during the 6-weeks program:
  • A one-on-one assessment with Barb before the start of the program
  • One two-hour and five one-hour educational group meetings in a congenial athmosphere, and a potluck dinner as the last meeting together.  Varied topics will be covered, including but not limited to nutrition, exercise, stress management, body chemistry and mind tools
  • Weekly weigh-ins and two tape measurements
  • pH kit to monitor your body's acidity and therefore help you with weight loss
  • Email consultations with Barb as often as you need or want them during the six weeks program
  • An understanding of how your body works and why certain things do or do not work to our benefit
  • Calorie, exercise and weight management software to help you on your journey
  • A pedometer linked to a challenge
  • Daily motivational emails

  • Phase II, an optional follow-up program  for those who choose to remain with the group after the six weeks program
